September 13, 1999 - WebSlinky version 1.13 is available.

WebSlinky is an off-line browser tool. It has a simple user-interface and has a small footprint.  It allows you to copy a website to your local computer for viewing at a later time without reconnecting  to the internet. It will recreate the structure of the website on your computer as it is on the web server.

New features:

  • Stealth mode: hide WebSlinky from the task bar.
  • Simple install/uninstall.
  • Minimize/restore from tray. Restore on left-click when minimized.
  • New WebSlinky site files: Allows you to save your sight settings.
  • Add WebSlinky to right-click menu of Internet Shortcuts (.url).
  • Fixed some bugs in the html parser.

Some features that are in the works are: (some of these require a rewrite my html parsing engine)

  • retrieving near files: Get those files referenced in the current web site that are on another site.
